“The Rocket has a pure performance shortboard template with a pulled-in nose and a crisp swallowtail with generous nose and tail rocker that breaks in front of the fins.”
The Rocket is designed to be your everyday shortboard SUP.
When we say “shortboard SUP”, we mean a board that is your “everyday” board when you are generally surfing waves from a little bit overhead and smaller. The Rocket has a pure performance shortboard template with a pulled-in nose and a crisp swallowtail with generous nose and tail rocker that breaks (starts) in front of the fins. (The 7’8” Rocket has a more pulled-in nose than the 8’2” or the 8’10” models).
The bottom starts as a single concave that runs into a slight vee and double concave. The vee peaks in that same area where the tail rocker breaks. This blending of the vee peaking and the rocker breaking combined with the double concave creates a perfect sweet spot for explosive turns. It comes in a four Futures Fins and 8.5”or 10” center fin box configuration and we do try to keep a limited number of five Futures Fins configured boards in inventory.
